Make Money With Online Survey Sites

Another Fun way to Make Money is by taking online surveys.

So How Do Paid Online Surveys Work?>

As with Mystery shopping, companies use surveys as a way to get feedback from their potential consumers (you and I) on how their products are doing as well as what is most important to the consumer.

Just as there are sites that hire mystery shoppers to do shops and write reports, there are websites out there that will allow you to take free paying online surveys.

If you spend a lot of time on the internet, this is a very easy way to get free cash.

A paid survey website will pay you a pre-determined amount of cash to perform a survey, which involves clicking a few buttons as you answer questions to evaluate a product you might use or have used.

It really is THAT simple to make money with online surveys!

Now, as with most money making strategies, there are going to be scams that you will need to watch out for. Unfortunately, online survey websites are no different….

Things to avoid when looking for paid online surveys

Any Survey Website That asks you to provide your credit card information (to sign up) is probably an online survey scam, DON’T do it.

Any Survey Website that asks you to spend ANY kind of money upfront is probably an online survey scam, DON’T do it.

Any Survey Website that asks you for your social security number upfront is probably an online survey scam, DON’T do it.

If a website promises you that you can make A LOT of money or extreme income taking their surveys….they are setting you up for disappointment and it is “probably” a scam, DON’T do it.

Now that we have got that out the way…..

Things to do when looking for a paid online survey company

Research Research Research – Check product reviews for any companies you may be interested in.

Do a search for online surveys and then pull up product reviews for each website on your list.

It might seem like a pain and an annoying thing to do, but the effort you put in now will pay off later, trust me.

Choose sites that don’t require your credit card information – There is no reason that a paid survey site would need your credit information to sign up.

Choose sites that are transparent and are offering reasonable pay rates on the surveys. A few dollars per survey ($1 – $6) seems to be the average right now.

Also, find sites that pay cash as opposed to points that you have to cash in or buy things online.

Understand the commission structure – Understand how you will get paid.

I recently found that a lot of the sites that say you can make $30 – $50 per survey don’t actually pay you in cash.

What this means is that although your account might show that you have a balance of $100, you will not be able to redeem this money for cash.

Instead you will have to redeem that money for something like a magazine or (gasp) donate it to charity.

Before you take a survey, make sure you understand how you will be rewarded for your efforts.

Understand when you will get paid – It is custom for sites to pay once a month or so, but there is one catch.

Most (if not all) sites have a payment threshold that you need to reach before you can get paid or redeem your points.

A lot of survey sites will give you points (and cash) just for signing up, but in all cases you WILL have to earn more money or points to get paid.

Cashcrate has a payment threshold of $20 so you don’t get your first check until you exceed $20.

You can checkout  getpaidsurveys.com which is a site that reviews the different survey sites out there.

Some Other Recommendations Of Online Survey Sites

I have been a member of Cashcrate and I’m having a lot of fun so far. The surveys are straight forward and you know how much you are going to make before you even take a survey.

It is free to join cashcrate and the cashcrate reviews have all been positive. If you want to know more details about my experiences with CashCrate, check out my honest review on cashcrate.

The Cashcrate surveys are fun but I have made more money participating in the offers. These are shorter and some of the payouts are MUCH MUCH higher.

You won’t retire anytime soon taking paid online surveys, but it is a great way to make some free cash on the side. Cashcrate also has a wall where they show what the recent payouts were. A few members get paid several hundred dollars per month, and some have been paid a couple thousand in one month!!
